This topic is near to my heart plus it suits the situation very well. The year 2020 brought that disaster named Corona that moved the world upside down. From the life of an individual to the life of family and to the stability of the country, that virus disturb everything. Not a single person helps him/herself passed that situation unaffected. Some of us are mentally disturbed, some are financially, and some are physically. Just like every institution of life, how could our education system subsist? I am a university student. The day when government announced the lockdown, we had our 1st final term paper. We all were confused whether we would prepare for next paper or not. But that lockdown happened to be last longer, too long that even a year has passed, we are still in our homes learning on our mobile phones and laptops.
Why am I complaining? Am I not afraid of corona? Yes, I am afraid of corona,
but I am confused and disturbed by all this situation going
on around me. Every day we
have news about number of patients increasing to this
and that. But at the same time people are wandering around
me Allhamdullilah uninfected
and without masks. Hotels, restaurants, shadi halls and
even parks are stuffed with people, are they not afraid? Yes, they are. But they at the
same time they all know that life goes on no matter what. We must take precautionary measures to
survive this pandemic. Lock yourself to some place is never going to be a
solution.
My question is, when everything is taking back their original positions
and form then why not universities? Most of our private universities
have started their daily physical classes. Then why we are still on online mode? HEC has already announced that its up to universities whether
they start their physical mode or not? Then what is the delay?
It has been a year since my daily routine has been a
catastrophe. Every morning I
wake up with links, which
is too frustrating. That we must face mobile screens early in the morning that cause disturbance the whole day. Online study is a problem in the hundreds and
thousands of ways for me. Sometimes we have connection issues. Sometime our teachers have that same
issue or some other issues as well. Sometimes we have surprised classes, in sense
that teacher come up with a link when it’s convenient for them and when we got
to know about the link that link has already expired. This is not a single day
issue. We have been facing these issues from the very
start.
I have a question here. I have known many people asking me about why I am not enjoying staying at home, taking online classes? Why do I desperately want to
go back to university? The answer is, because I enjoy getting up early, going to university, taking scheduled classes and then go
back to home when its time. I like that routine of mine. I cannot enjoy sitting idly at home seeing my university days passing by. I love to enjoy every single phase of my life. I had enjoyed my school and
college life. And now I want to enjoy my university life to full.
